Solar PV & Thermal

Incorporating solar panels for water heating or power generation as part of a new development or retrofit is a straightforward way to lower energy costs without requiring frequent servicing or maintenance. For businesses, implementing solar technology can also count towards achieving ISO 14001 compliance.

We’ll design and deliver a solar PV, solar thermal or combined solution which makes the most efficient use of the space you have available and offers the greatest benefit when paired with your existing or planned electrical and water heating systems.

Air Source Heat Pumps

Air source heat pumps offer the most flexible heat exchange solution, with lower installation costs and fewer space or resource requirements than ground or water source alternatives. They are around 4 times as efficient as commercial boilers, at around 320% — significantly lowering running costs.

We provide a full planning and installation service to ensure your air source heat pump system is correctly sited and configured to deliver maximum efficiency and integrated seamlessly with your existing or planned infrastructure.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground source heat pumps achieve higher efficiency than air source systems, at around 400% compared to 320% — although installation is more complex due to the need to dig trenches or sink boreholes. As a rule, trench-based systems require a footprint of around 2 to 2.5 times the area of the property to be heated.

We’ll help you identify the most effective implementation for your premises, take care of the necessary inspections and documentation, and manage suppliers, contractors and surveyors to ensure the project goes ahead with minimal impact on your schedule or disruption to your business.

Water Source Heat Pumps

Water source heat pumps are one of the lowest-cost heat exchange technologies available and offer an efficiency of up to 500%. Maintenance, especially for closed-loop systems, is minimal and the system lifespan is between 25 and 30 years — almost triple that of a gas boiler.

We’ll work with you to identify the right type of system for your premises, whether closed-loop or open source, as well as manage the regulatory requirements such as acquiring water temperature data and applying for Environment Agency licensing if required.

MVHR

Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems reduce the presence of moisture-laden air within a building, thereby lowering the risk of structural and cosmetic damage caused by condensation and mould. At the same time, they recover heat which would otherwise be wasted, lowering overall energy costs.

We supply MVHR systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications, and will work with you to identify the correct system for your property, carry out inspections, installation and testing, as well as provide ongoing servicing and maintenance to ensure the longevity of the system.

Solution Design

Our designers will work closely with your team to capture requirements, assess risks and agree on budgets and time constraints. Working from your existing plans or conducting on-site visits we’ll then deliver a comprehensive project design for your approval.

We don’t maintain exclusive partnerships with any one manufacturer or distributor, so you can be sure our designers are focused solely on delivering the most efficient and cost-effective solution for your needs.

What is renewable energy?

Renewable energy is free, reliable and offers an inexhaustible amount of energy which is naturally replenished. The most common sources of renewable energy are wind, solar, hydro and geothermal.

Today, many businesses and homeowners are moving away from using traditional sources of energy such as coal, petroleum and natural gas. Instead, renewable energy solutions are on the rise, and these alternative sources hold the key to combating climate change.

Why go renewable?

With an end to the fossil fuel era on the horizon and net zero compliance soon to be compulsory, upgrading to renewable energy is inevitable. Renewable energy dramatically reduces the carbon emissions released, helping to tackle the climate crisis, and saves home and business owners hundreds of pounds on their energy bills.

Additionally, most renewable energy technologies provide a much higher efficiency rate and also greater performance levels compared to traditional fossil fuelled systems — truly the energy of the future.
