Nando's is an international chain of fast-casual dining restaurants specialising in peri-peri style chicken. As part of the commissioning of a newly built Nando’s location in the Blue Mall MetroCentre, Newcastle, JLM provided an extensive programme of mechanical and engineering works, delivered to an exacting schedule in order to meet the required opening date for the new location.
Our mechanical engineering team designed and installed a restaurant ventilation system incorporating air conditioning. We provided above-ground drainage and water supply including hot and cold services and sprinkler systems. In addition, we completed a full commercial catering fit-out to the restaurant kitchen and preparation area, including gas mains systems, gas safety systems and extraction systems.
Electrical services carried out by JLM included the design and installation of the interior lighting system, incorporating LED lighting and specialist feature lighting, as well as the provision of specialist external and emergency lighting. We also provided electrical blind installation and small power distribution, alongside designing and installing CCTV, data, fire alarm and intruder detection systems.
