Pin Yard is a £34m residential development which is part of the Holbeck Urban Village in the south bank area of Leeds. The 12-storey development houses 216 high-spec and luxury homes comprising a mix of studios and one, two and three-bedroom apartments. JLM delivered an extensive programme of electrical engineering services as part of the development of the site.
Electrical services carried out by JLM as part of the project included the installation of an MCCB panel board and split-metered distribution boards, supply of split load 18th edition consumer units, earthing and bonding, containment installation and small power installation to all areas. We also installed mechanical plant power supplies and provided full lightning and surge protection to the installed infrastructure.
In addition, we installed electrical heating (panel heaters and towel rails) and designed a lighting system which incorporated the supply and installation of lighting and emergency lighting as well as external lighting and lighting control systems throughout.
We designed and installed a range of security and safety systems in the apartments and communal areas of the building including CCTV and security systems, fire alarm systems disabled emergency alert systems and data / TV connectivity. Finally, we installed roof-mounted solar PV panels to provide a source of renewable energy and installed EV charging points in the development’s parking facilities.
